This is the first image on my journey to capture the “Milky Way Over Colorado”. This photograph replicates how the Milky Way aligns naturally with this historical landmark in Colorado. The location of this image is where I got the idea to start this project, so I thought it would be fitting if it was the first location I went to. This was only my second time at this location, but it was the most important to me because I got to start a project I’ve been wanting to start for a couple of years now, and it was the first photography road trip my dog and I took together. This is a natural composite image, meaning these are two different photos (one for the sky and one for the landscape), and they are aligned as they would be in nature.

For every print ordered, 5% of the purchase price will go to Dark Sky Colorado to help protect our night sky, and another 5% will go towards the Colorado Wildlife Foundation to help protect the Colorado wilderness.

  • Comes ready to hang with a 1 1/2” wide, black-stained pine wood inset frame and hanging wire (prints will appear to float off the wall)

Open Edition Paper Prints:

These prints are printed on high-quality fine art paper with a premium matte finish and do not come with a frame. This gives you the freedom to display your new artwork however you see fit!
